Waterfalls

Bridal Veil Falls

Just 2.5 miles from Highlands down Highway 64 West towards Franklin, this waterfall is on the right. The drive underneath the falls used to be the actual highway, before the “by-pass” was built. There is plenty of parking. The falls vary depending on the amount of rain fall and the drop is about 120 feet.

Dry Falls

Just another mile further on Highway 64 West, Dry Falls is on the left. A new parking lot complete with restrooms has just been completed. A long pathway leads from the parking area. You can walk underneath the 75 foot falls. Even though it is called Dry Falls, you do not necessarily stay dry.

Glen Falls

From Highlands, go south on Highway 106 (the Dillard Road). Past highlands Country Club, watch for the turn on the left with the “Glen Falls” Forest Service marker. There is good parking and the one mile trail to the falls is somewhat steep. There are actually three large falls which drop about 60 feet.

Cullasaja Falls

About nine miles down Highway 64 West from Highlands, the Cullasaja Gorge and Falls are visible from Highway 64. The falls are about 250 feet high and when there has been a fair amount of rain, the falls thunder. The pull off area for parking is limited, so be very careful.
